October 2002 - May 2003Four year old Francisca from Nicaragua was not able to walk at the time of her arrival, due to a genetic birth defect. Francisca learned to walk, went to school and picked up a good amount of English by the time she went home in May 2003. Francisca was hosted by Craig and Jill, Olivia and Elaina. |

 Dr. Shindell advised against surgery at this time, recommending therapy instead. Francisca certainly benefited from physical therapy sessions generously provided by Inglish & Petersen. |
