We Need

• Host Families - Healing the Children seeks committed families who are willing to provide a temporary home to children we bring to AZ from other countries. The children will come without a parent, so love and nurture are very important. Without these special families, HTC could not assist international children in Arizona.
• Donate your frequent flyer miles - Many airlines, such as American Airlines, Northwest Airlines and Continental, have special programs that are used to allow needy children to fly to the US at no cost to receive their medical attention.
• Voluntary Medical Professionals - We need surgeons, physicians, nurses, dentist, physical therapists who are willing to give of their time and services to assist children brought into our program, or who are willing to go on short medical teams overseas.
• Hospitals and Medical Centers - For our inbound program Healing the Children depends on the generosity of hospitals and medical centers that will accept humanitarian referrals.
• Donate Medical/Dental Supplies - For our medical mission program Healing the Children needs medical and dental supplies to be used by our medical teams when they travel overseas.
• Escorts - If you are an airline employee you can sign up with the American Ambassadors Program and use some of your day’s off time to escort children to or from their home countries.
• Share HTC’s Vision - Spread the word about Healing the Children by arranging a speaking engagement with your club, company, church or school. If your club, company church or school would like to support HTC through a meaningful fundraising event, please contact us.
• Funding - Healing the Children relies on the generosity of others to make a child’s dreams come true. The number of children we can help is in proportion of the funds we receive. Your help can change a child’s life forever. All charitable contributions are tax deductable. Please feel free to click on the “make a donation” button.
• Fundraising/Special Events - To help a child, funding is needed. We are seeking active volunteers who like to work on fundraising committees, or who have the initiative to organize a special fundraising event.

Local Children's Service Coordinator

Interested in helping underserved Arizona children? Our Local Children's Service Coordinator will be responsible for identifying unmet health and wellness related needs of children in our state, recommend and implement services and solutions to help meet these needs. She or he must have a good working knowledge of non-profit organizations, a heart for children, community involvement, and ability to volunteer at least eight hours a week to this work.

Fundraising Coordinator

Needed to help organize charity events and other activities designed to raise funds for the organization and all its Core Services.

Volunteer Recruitment Director

Volunteer Recruitment Director duties are to plan, direct, coordinate and monitor a volunteer recruitment program for the purpose of recruiting and training staff and board volunteers, and host families. Implement and coordinate board, staff and host family appreciation ideas.
